This Columbus Day weekend, you can help yourself to a terrific Italian meal while helping others.
On Saturday, October 12, 2019, the Knights of Columbus Council 14360 will host its annual Italian Supper at the Masterpool Great Room at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue in Norwalk. The dinner will take place at about 5:00 p.m., following the 4:00 p.m. Mass at St. Matthew’s.
“Truthfully, the best part of this event is how it will allow us to help people,” commented Grand Knight Anthony Armentano. “We always have a lot of fun with this event and look forward to it every year, but more than that, it raises important funds that allow us to sponsor a variety of worthy causes and organizations.”
Proceeds from the dinner will go to a variety of programs and charitable organizations that Council 14360 sponsors, including the Knights of Columbus Coats for Kids Program, Al’s Angels, All Saints Catholic School Scholarships, Notre Dame Health & Rehab Center, Homes for the Brave and Family & Children’s Agency.
Chef Eric Benitez, a member of Council 14360 as well as being a talented professional chef, will be preparing a mouth-watering meal for all to enjoy. The menu will include delicious macaroni, sausage and meatballs; Chef Eric’s beloved chicken; salad, and bread. For kids, there will be macaroni with butter. Dessert, water and soda are included with the cost of the meal, while beer and wine will also be available for purchase.
In addition, there will be a 50/50 raffle, and anyone who brings a non-perishable food item with them that evening for the St. Matthew food pantry will be eligible to win a special door prize.
The cost of the dinner will be $20.00 for adults, and $7.00 for children under 10 (those three and under are free).
