Last Saturday evening, October 8, Brothers of Council 14360 were at Saugatuck Sweets in Fairfield for the start of their Annual Tootsie Roll Drive in support of children with intellectual disabilities.
Council Deputy Grand Knight Anthony Armentano chaired the event, and was pleased with the results. “Despite the weather being less than ideal, we were able to raise several hundred dollars thanks to the generosity of Saugatuck Sweets patrons. This money will go directly to support children in the area with intellectual disabilities.”
Grand Knight Scott Criscuolo added, “Even with the rainy weather, this was a great start to our campaign, and I look forward to our next Tootsie Roll Drive. I would also like to thank Brother Al DiGuido for his hospitality in letting us hold this event at the best ice cream and candy shoppe in Connecticut!”
Council 14360’s Tootsie Roll Drive will continue in coming weeks and months at additional locations.
