There will be delicious chili to sample, and for a good cause, at Saugatuck Sweets in Fairfield this Saturday evening, July 30, as Knights of Columbus Council 14360 holds its second annual Chili Cook-off from 5:30-9:30 p.m.
This year’s event will benefit Al’s Angels and a number of other worthy local charities.
Council 14360’s Past Grand Knight George Ribellino, an upset winner in last year’s competition, will be back to defend his crown, but a number of his Brother Knights have their “eyes on the prize” and fully expect to dethrone him.
“My secret recipe was the key at last summer’s competition,” reflected Ribellino. “I think my fellow Knights are underestimating my chances to repeat!”

You can enjoy some fabulous chili and help decide who gets this year’s bragging rights by stopping by Saugatuck Sweets (28 Reef Road, Fairfield) on Saturday night. By making a small donation, you’ll be able to help some great causes, plus sample some delicious chili and vote for your favorite. Voting will determine the top three chilis, as well as the chili with the best name! There will also be a “fire alarm” award for the hottest chili!
Hope to see you there!
