Council 14360 St. Patrick’s Day Dinner Raises Record Amount for Local Charities

On Saturday night, March 5, 2016, Knights of Columbus Council 14360 held its seventh annual St. Patrick’s Day Fundraiser dinner in the Masterpool Great Room at St. Matthew Church. The dinner proved to be a huge success, with over 200 guests enjoying a delicious dinner, Irish dancing, and of course the company of friends and family.

The annual St. Patrick’s Day dinner is the council’s oldest tradition. Starting from just 81 people in 2010, the dinner has become an annual tradition at St. Matthew Parish.

Thanks to the generosity of the attendees and our sponsor, Faithful Navigator Ed McGettigan and the Foursome Group, this year’s dinner raised a record amount, over $6,200.00, money that will go directly to the many local organizations Council 14360 supports, such as:

Malta House, Notre Dame Convalescent Home, Homes for the Brave, Fisher House, Our Lady of Solace in Coney Island NY, All Saints Catholic School, Star Inc., Al’s Angels, St. Matthew Church, the Diocese of Bridgeport – Respect Life Ministry & Family and Children’s Agency- Norwalk.
“This was an all-around team effort,” commented Council 14360 Grand Knight George Ribellino, Jr. “So many Brothers contributed in different ways to make this night such a successful one. Financial Secretary Anthony Armentano did a great job handling the reservations.  Deputy Grand Knight Scott Criscuolo coordinated all of the servers and so much more. Brothers Ron Miller and Doug Reid handled the raffle, which was a big success.  Also, a big thanks to all who helped set up, serve and break down.”

A  very special thanks to Faithful Navigator Ed McGettigan and The Foursome Group for sponsoring the dinner, and to Brother Al DiGuido and Saugatuck Sweets for donating the ice cream!
