On Monday, August 4, Council #14360 raised money to go towards their charitable fund by holding a special event at Saugatuck Sweets in Westport. Brother Al DiGuido opened his business’ doors to the Knights and the store was hopping all night. The council earned $575 from donations and from a percentage of sales. Grand Knight George Ribellino commented that “Everybody loves dessert, and the council’s sweet tooth was out in full force. These funds will go towards the continuing work we do around our community in Norwalk and Fairfield County.”
Deputy Grand Knight Scott Criscuolo added that “It was a great chance to promote our order and what we do to a new audience who may not know us. Brother Al is a pillar of our community and his business is an extension of him. Oh, and a special tip: “Captain Crunch” is great on ice cream!”
