With summer winding down, we at Knights of Columbus Council 14360 are very much looking forward to hosting our second annual Columbus Day Macaroni Dinner at St. Matthew on Saturday, October 5! We hope you can join us at 6:00 p.m. in the Great Room at St. Matthew Church in Norwalk for a most enjoyable evening of meatballs, macaroni, and much more!

– This dinner is open to the public! We encourage you to invite as many friends and family members as you would like!

– Funds raised at this dinner will enable our Council to provide crucial financial support to a number of worthwhile charitable causes in the coming months. We appreciate your support and look forward to seeing you on October 5!

60th Anniversary Mass celebrated

Diocese 60th Anniversary Celebration Mass
On Sunday, August 4th, 2013, the Brothers of Bishop Fenwick Assembly 100, Norwalk,  CT, provided an Honor Guard at the 10:00 a.m. Mass at St. Philip Church in Norwalk celebrating the 60th Anniversary of the inception of the Diocese of Bridgeport. The Mass was organized by St. Philip Associate Pastor Father Sudhir DeSouza.  As part of the city-wide celebration, parishioners from several Norwalk parishes(St. Mary, St. Matthew, St. Joseph,and St. Thomas) joined the parishioners of St. Philip in worship on a beautiful Sunday morning. The Honor guard was led by Faithful Navigator and Color Corps Commander Bill Berger, who was joined by Sir Knights Bob Kramer, Donald Hunter,  George Ribellino, Michael Colaluca, Anthony Armentano, William Scholl, Scott Mazzo, Anthony Cossuto, Ed McGettigan, and Jim Wardwell.  During his homily, Fr. Michael Boccaccio (Pastor of St. Philip) spoke about the inception of the Diocese, remembering each Bishop who has served our diocese from Cardinal Sheehan to our newly appointed BishopElect Frank Caggiano.  The Bishop-Elect will be installed on September 19th

On July 31, 2013, Pope Francis announced the appointment of The Most Reverend Frank J. Caggiano, Auxiliary Bishop of the Diocese of Brooklyn, as the Fifth Bishop of the Diocese of Bridgeport.

As we celebrate the 60th Anniversary of the inception of the Diocese of Bridgeport, our Council  joins with the entire parish of St. Matthew in welcoming him with open arms and praying that God will bless him as the Shepherd of our diocese.
