Officers’ meeting scheduled

We will have our first Officers-only meeting of the fraternal year on Wednesday, August 28 at 7:00 p.m in the Chapel at St. Matthew Church. We look forward to seeing all the officers there as we get the ball rolling on planning for the upcoming fraternal year.

Stay tuned for details on the first regular Council meeting of the fraternal year. As of now, we are tentatively scheduled to continue with meetings at 7:00 p.m. on the second and fourth Wednesdays of each month, beginning in September.

I want to thank my Brother Knights who came out for my first meeting as Grand Knight at the Knights Museum in New Haven this past Saturday, July 27.   I am so honored to serve such a great group of Brothers.  I look forward to an exciting fraternal year.

Special summer meeting in New Haven

 Happy summer, everyone!

Just a reminder of our meeting/outing to the Knights of Columbus Museum in New Haven on Saturday, July 27.   We will have the meeting at 11:00 a.m. and then have lunch/refreshments afterward in the lobby/reception area.

For those who have never been to the museum, it is a jewel and a wonderful experience to see not only the history of the Knights of Columbus, but of some seminal moments in our faith’s history.

Spouses/families are invited and can explore the wonderful museum while we have our meeting.  If we all chip in $5-10 each we can order pizza from one of New Haven’s exceptional pizzerias.

We can meet at church around 10:00 a.m. and carpool to minimize the number of drivers.

Hope everyone is enjoying summer and staying as cool as possible, and we looking forward to seeing you next Saturday.
